UB Announces Record Breaking UBOC Event, Massive Guarantees

Online poker site releases a $3 million Main Event schedule for UBOC that includes two $1 million tournaments and a secondary UBOC series

UltimateBet today released the satellite poker tournament schedule for UBOC 2009, UltimateBet’s Online Championship series, and unleashed an impressive Main Event calendar that features 22 guaranteed events, two $1 million tournaments and over $3 million in guaranteed prize pool money.

“This is unbelievably massive,” stated Annie Duke, UltimateBet’s Cardroom Consultant. “In keeping with our commitment to delivering more of what online poker players demand, we’re raising the stakes in our 3rd UBOC series by throwing over $3 million in guarantees into the mix.”

Past participants in UBOC will immediately do a double take after seeing the details of UBOC 2009. Of this year’s 22 events, two feature guaranteed prize pools of $1 million apiece.

Making up 10 of the 22 events is a parallel series being billed as Mini UBOC. With the exception of the two $1 million tournaments, each UBOC event will be mirrored by a separate Mini UBOC event where players can buy in for approximately 10% of the corresponding UBOC event and compete for a lucrative prize pool.

UBOC 2009 kicks off on January 9th, 2009 and runs through January 18th. Satellites for the popular online poker championship series begin on September 15th, 2009.
