75 Year Old Man Wins Spanish Poker Tour

Cayetano Garcia set a record at the Spanish Poker tournament in Valencia this past weekend by becoming the oldest poker tournament winner in Europe.

Valencia, Spain — At the ripe old age of 75,  Cayetano Garcia became the oldest person to ever win a major poker tournament in Europe.

Garcia was a part of European poker history on Sunday, July 20, when he was crowned champion after the final table of the Spanish Poker Tour in Valencia.

Cayetano lasted the entire weekend, when many younger players fell victim.  Garcia brought his A-game to the event and it paid off. He took home €26,500 back to Alicante.

The Spanish Poker Tour saw 1,000 players from all over Europe try to reach the final in Valencia. Among the countries represented in the SPT were France, Italy, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands.
